Barking from: Auckland

What's up dog?

Browse is a retired working farm dog from the farmlands of Gisborne. His owner retired in the December of 2020 and Browse wasn't able to be rehomed due to arthritis in his back legs. He couldn't work as a sheepdog anymore, much to his disgust.
He only has one eye after an unfortunate encounter with a cows back foot on the farms and as such has a tendency to run into things (trees, bins, tables, people¦) as he is so busy looking at you he forgets to look where he is going!
Browse was a dedicated, loyal and hard working sheep dog and is an equally loyal and dedicated companion. He deserves all the goodness of his retired life after helping our farmers work sheep and cattle for 7.5 long years. Now, at 10 years old, Browse still has the drive to herd and fetch things.
We adopted him in 2022.
Browse is the most gentle, pleasant, loveable senior dog who continues to enjoy life and spread love despite his missing eye, arthritic legs and a heart condition. He is intelligent and makes us wish we could have seen him at work on the farms. When he meets people, he leans against their legs, making them feel special and lets everyone give him pets. More so, if he senses they need him. This has been invaluable in the way he has been with my clients at times. Of course, he also provides laughs by way of his goofiness during work meetings. He is the most special boy.
